Description
The US Postal Service is seeking services for the performance of general architectural and engineering for repair and alteration projects, site adaptation, and construction administration for SSBD (Small Standard Building Design) for facilities between 1,000 and 8,000 square feet, for the Albany District?s area of responsibility. This area covers zip codes that begin with 120-123; 128-129; and 130-139. The contract will be subject to negotiation of individual work orders. In each instance total fees for services will not exceed $250,000.00 for each task. The yearly maximum shall not exceed the total contract maximum. The contract will be for two years with three one-year renewal options, which can bring the duration of the contract to five years. The amount of work for the duration of the contract (5 years) shall not exceed $2,500,000.00. There is no guaranteed minimum. The majority of work order estimates will range from $2,000 and $15,000.00. The estimated construction value of individual projects will probably not exceed $250,000.00. The USPS reserves the right to select more than one firm. Firms, which possess the qualifications to perform the services described, are invited to submit a completed SF255, Architect-Engineer Questionnaire for a Specific Project, and a SF254, Architect-Engineer and Related Services Questionnaire to the office above no later than Thursday, December 30, 2003, 4:00 p.m. EST to: Jeanne C. Warren, Secretary, A/E Evaluation Board USPS Northeast Facilities Service Office, 6 Griffin Road North Windsor, CT 06006-0300. Selection criteria will be conducted with combined use of SF254 and SF255. Interested firms with more than one office should indicate of their SF254 and SF255 the staffing composition of the office in which the work will be performed. A SF254 must also be submitted for each consultant used. Firms, including consultants, must meet the following requirements: 1) licensed architect registered in the state of New York; 2) licensed mechanical and electrical engineer registered in the state of New York; 3) Staffing complement of 5-25 professionals. The registration requirements may be met though the use of consultants. The prime firm must meet the staffing requirement. Consideration will be given to interested firms who respond to this advertisement in accordance with the foregoing instructions in the following order of preference: 1) local, residing in the state of New York with a zip code beginning with120-123; 128-129; or 130-139; 2) Within a 50 mile radius of aforementioned area; 3) All others. Firms will be considered as local only if their office is in the area listed previously, or they have a local independently operated branch office, and all of the design, coordination, and management of the project will be accomplished in that office.
