- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY TO PRE-QUALIFY VENDORS. THERE IS NOT A SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. THIS IS NOT A FORMAL REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. The United States Senate Office of the Sergeant at Arms (SAA) is seeking technical services to provide and support emergency preparedness planning within the Office of Security and Emergency Preparedness. TASKS: The contractor shall: 1) serve as a planner and implementer of various emergency preparedness plans, programs, and projects; and 2) serve as an advisor to the SAA Executive Manager for Emergency Preparedness. REQUIREMENTS: The contractor shall have: 1) mid-level planner skills with at least five years experience in emergency preparedness, emergency management, disaster management, or related fields; 2) program/project management experience; 3) the ability to take an initiative from concept to execution and; 4) familiarity with evacuation and shelter-in-place concepts; and 5) United States citizenship with a current TOP SECRET clearance. Responses to this sources sought request are due to the POC no later than December 5, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. EST. The response should not exceed fifteen (15) pages. Qualified sources must provide their responses via e-mail to Acquisitions@saa.senate.gov. Sources responding to this sources sought notice and deemed qualified by the SAA will be placed on a solicitation mailing list. The subject line of the email message should be ?2004-SSN-015 Emergency Planner". If suitable responses are received from qualified sources, the SAA anticipates release of a solicitation in December 2003. Telephone requests for information will not be honored. The Senate or the SAA will not be responsible for any costs for the preparation of responses to this announcement. Requests for hard copies of this announcement will not be honored. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES THE ENTIRE SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT AND IS THE ONLY INFORMATION PROVIDED BY THE SAA OR U.S. SENATE.
