Description

(i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a proposal is being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) This combined synopsis/solicitation is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP #0025471). (iii) This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the FEDERAL ACQUISITION CIRCULAR 2001-17. (iv) This solicitation is not restricted to a set-aside. NAICS Code is 334111 and the small business size standard is 1000 employees. A firm-fixed-price purchase order will be issued as a result of this combined synopsis/solicitation. (v) The RFP is for the following CONTRACT LINE ITEM NUMBER (CLIN): CLIN 0001: Item Description: 4 - Sun Microsystems E4500 E4500Server Base 2*PS CLIN 0002: Item Description: 2 - Sun Microsystems A34-99 E220 CLIN 0003: Item Description: 12 - Sun Microsystems A33 E420R Server Base Model CLIN 0004: Item Description: 14 - Sun Microsystems SG-XARY123A-16G-O 16GB Storedge D1000 CLIN 0005: Item Description: 4 - Sun Microsystems SG-XARY351A-180G A3500 1 CONT MOD/5 TRAYS/18GB CLIN 0006: Item Description: 5 - Sun Microsystems racks. This solicitation is to be awarded to include all the items listed above. Only the specific make and model listed above will be considered to receive the award. All Software Licenses must be included. All equipment must include a Sun Microsystems Maintenance Certificate Warranting the equipment as new. Provide detailed warranty information.(vi) Same as above. (vii) Delivery shall be made to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Criminal Justice Information Services Division (CJISD), 1000 Custer Hollow Road, Clarksburg, West Virginia 26306. Items shall be shipped F.O.B. Destination. (viii) FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items is incorporated by reference and applies to this acquisition. ADDENDUM FAR 52.212-1 Para. (B) Submission of offers. Submit signed and dated offers by 4:00 PM Eastern Standard Daylight time on December 5, 2003 to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Information Technology Contracts Unit, Attn: Michael Konchesky, Module B-3, 1000 Custer Hollow Road, Clarksburg, WV 26306 or facsimile at 304-625-5391. (ix) FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items is incorporated by reference and applies to this acquisition. ADDENDUM FAR 52.212-2 Para. (A) The following factors, in descending order of importance, shall be used to evaluate offers: technical, price, and past performance. Technical- The Government will award a contract to the responsible offeror whose offer conforms to the solicitation. Price Evaluation- Award will be to Offeror who submits the lowest price. For past performance evaluation, Offerors shall provide names, addresses, and telephone numbers of three customers, Government and commercial, that have utilized the Offerors services for the same or similar item during the past two years. (x) Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications--Commercial Items with offer. Offerors shall ensure that all Representations and Certifications are executed and returned as required in this synopsis/solicitation.
