- The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWARSYSCEN), Charleston is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to solicit responses from commercial vendors on an anticipated Multiple Award contract for Deployable Satellite Communications Systems. The Navy seeks information about existing/future technologies for the next five (5) years for deployable Tri-Band (C, X, and Ku-Band) terminals and deployable Quad-Band (C, X, Ku and military Ka-Band) terminals plus spares and training. Minimum requirements to include: Transmit and Receive capability for Tri-Band (C, X and Ku-Bands) w/ upgrade to military Ka-band. DISA certification required for X-Band; terminal must meet requirements for DISA certification for military Ka-Band operation. Include potential for upgrading system to the following configurations by the addition of system enhancements: Tri-Band Spoke to Quad-Band Spoke Tri-Band Spoke to Tri-Band Hub Quad-Band Spoke to Quad-Band Hub Tri-Band Hub to Dual Tri-Band Hub Quad-Band Hub to Dual Quad-Band Hub. Trailer mounted transit cased Quad Band Dual Hub (6 spokes/hub) to Quad Band Single Hub (6 spoke) with modifications made by removing transit cases. Trailer equipped with a standardized wiring harness to connect/disconnect transit case mounted modules. Systems may be in transit cases or on a pallet that can be mounted on a High Mobility Multi-Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) or on a HMMWV towable trailer. All systems must meet the weight restrictions for HMMWV transport or towing capacity [4,200 LB max weight]. All trailer mounted systems must be designed to fit within a single pallet space (107?L x 88?W x96?H) for air transport. In addition to the SATCOM terminals, this contract shall include a tri-band capable, trailer mounted 4.8 m antenna systems that can be operated as part of a hub or dual hub system. Ancillary equipment, such as a HMMWV towable 40 KW Generator/5 ton ECU trailer package shall be included within this contract. The Government is anticipating a future Multiple Award Performance Based Acquisition with Award terms; however, there is no bid package or solicitation document associated with this announcement at this time. The requested information is for planning purposes. There is no intent to reimburse providers for the cost of submitting information in response to this RFI.
