- Description
- Request for Information (RFI) - The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Charleston (SSC CH) seeks sources and information concerning the use of technology for the purpose of detecting the practice of ?tailgating?. Tailgating is defined, for purposes of this notice, as the act of an individual obtaining access to a controlled space by following closely an entry by an authorized individual into that space. Information on State of the Art (SOFA) technologies, sensors, systems and equipment is requested. Data on new or emerging technologies capable of supporting the goal of detecting tailgating is also needed to assist planning of future work in this area. Technologies that may be easily integrated into current door and portal infrastructures are the focus of this RFI. Demonstration of tailgating detection technology: We are interested in a demonstration of this technology to achieve a significant increase in integrated functionality or operational performance in an operational setting. Therefore, we request information on (1) Current SOFA Products, (2) Available and emerging products/technologies, (3) Near term research and beta products that are potential candidates for investment. Submittals: Interested parties should submit (1) Technical information and materials regarding existing and proposed products, technologies, and research. This includes, but is not limited to, current and/or projected performance capabilities and potential delivery schedules; (2) A brief description of relevant and recently completed efforts; (3) Pertinent company information, including contact person, phone number and email address. No proprietary data should be submitted. Any submissions will be considered to be public information and may be handled by non-government personnel.
