Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This requirement is being issued as a Request for Quote. The Request for Quote number is M0068104T0032. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-09 and DCN 2002/07/30. Please see below for specifications. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) Code is 421460 and the Business Standard is 100 employees. The Defense Priorities and Allocation System (DPAS) rating for this order is DO-C9E. The anticipated contract will be Firm Fixed Price. The Regional Contracting Office Southwest, Camp Pe ndleton has a requirement for the following items manufactured by Oakley, One ICON, Foothill Ranch, California. CLIN 0001, Goggles, ?A? Frame, Color: Black with clear lens, Oakley P/N 02-550, (SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS. Goggles will be made of ballistic materials to protect from shrapnel, rocks and dirt; lenses will be of Plutonite material which exceeds Industrial Standard ANSI Z871 for impact resistance and optical clarity; lenses must block 100% of the sun ?s UV and blue light rays; lenses will be non-reflective and non mirrored; bands will be highly durable to both extreme heat and cold; the material will be of such a composition to grip helmets without slipping; manufacturer will provide a one year service warranty), 1000 EACH; CLIN 0002, Replacement Lens, for Oakley ?A? Frame Goggles, Color: Clear, (SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS. Lenses will be made of ballistic materials to protect from shrapnel, rocks and dirt; lenses will be of Plutonite material which exceeds industrial Standard ANSI Z871 for impact resistance and optical clarity; lenses must block 100% of the sun ?s UV and blue light rays; lenses will be non-reflective and non mirrored; manufacturer will provide a one year warranty), Oakley P/N 02-279, 1000 EACH. This requirement is for BRAND NAME OR EQUAL. DELIVERY WILL BE IN FULL ON OR BEFORE 19 DEC 03. The award will be made to lowest priced technically acceptable quoter who meets the salient characteristics and delivery date. Offeror shall provide informationon how their goggles meets the requirements of the Government, including descriptive literature. If descriptive literature is not provided the offer will not be considered. The following FAR Clauses/ Provisions apply: FAR 52.212-4 Contracting Terms and Conditions ? Commercial Items (Copies of 52.212-3 are available upon request from the Contracting Office or the Internet at (www.arnet.gov/far), DFAR 252.225-7036 North American Free Trade Agreement Implementation Act (Applies to actions $25,000.00 - $100,00.00 (MAR) 1998, DFAR 252.204-7004 Required Central Contractor Registration. The offeror should also provide its Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) CODE, Contractor Establishment Code (DUNS number) and Tax Identification number. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Register to be considered for award (NO EXCEPTIONS). Register at http://www.ccr.gov/index.cfm. Any contract award as a result of this solicitation will be a DO rated certified for national defense used under the Defense Priorities and Allocations System. Quotes must be received no later than 4:00 P.M. Pacific Standard Time, 02 Dec 2003. The facsimile transmission must clearly identify this notice and the name of the contracting officer on the first page. Submitters bear the burden of ensuring that the quotes reached the designated contracting office on time and should allow a reasonable time for facsimile transmissions to be completed. All pages of the transmission must reach the office before the deadline specified and pages of a facsimile transmission that arrive in the office after the specified deadline will not be considered. The submitter bears the risk of non-receipt of facsimile transmission and should confirm by telephone that any facsimile was received.
