Description

NA Project Title: Port of Oakland Navigation ?????? 50 Foot Improvement Project, Middle Harbor Enhancement Area Containment Structure, Alameda and Contra Costa Counties, California. This solicitation is Unrestricted. Job Description: The work consists of marine construction and placement of approx. 102,000 tons of rock fill, 44,000 vlf sheet pile, 5,500 tons riprap, 25,400 tons bedding material, 825 cy concrete, 3 navigational aids and 3 navigational buoys. NAICS CODE: This procurement will be conducted under NAICS Code: 237990. The size standard for this NAICS code is $28.5 Million. Large businesses competing for this project must comply with the FAR 52.219 clause regarding the requirement for a Subcontracting Plan on the part of the work it intends t o subcontract. The recommended goals for subcontracting are 57.2% for Small Business, 8.9% for Small Disadvantaged Business, 8.1% for Women Owned Small Business, 3.0% for HUBZONE Small Business, 3.0% for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business. ORDERING SOLICITATION: The solicitation for this project will be available on the Sacramento District Contracting Divisions I nternet Home Page at http://ebs.spk.usace.army.mil/ for downloading. Any future amendments to the solicitation will also be available for down load from this web site. If you experience problems registering for the plan holders list or have problems dow nloading plans and specifications or amendments please contact Robert Ennis at 916-557-5238. It is important that you first go to this web site and under Contract Division home page, click on the advertised solicitation you are interested in. Go to Plan Holder Registration. This will require you to establish a user name and pass word. Keep the user name and pass word and share it with anyone else in your organization that is responsible for registering your firm on plan holders lists. With our new sys tem you only have to do the full registration one time. If you have your user name and password you can always go back into the system and register for other jobs without having to go through the entire registration process. However you can only do this by using your initial user name and password. In order to receive notification on any amendments to the solicitation you are required to register for the plan holder list. Please complete all requested information. The solicitation will be available for download approximately 15 December 2003. To down load the solicitation go to the Sacramento District Contracting Division Internet Home Page at http://ebs.spk.usace.army.mil/ from there click on San Francisco District, then it will take you to a list of advertised solicitations and then from there click on the desired solicitation number, on the bottom of this page there will be a bar that says download/view solicitation files. Select plans or specs from the drop down box and press the go button. This will take you to the next page, then from there click on file name and download. To download amendments: Access the list of advertised solicitations. Select the desired solicitation and then click on the amendment number. At the next screen, click on t he file name and download it. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the agency. Please note that all contractors and potential contractors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database.
