Description

The Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration on behalf of the International Trade Administration is contemplating contracting on a sole source basis with CIC Research, San Diego, California, under the authority of 6.302-1. The U.S. Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration, Trade Development, Office of Travel & Tourism (OTTI) conducts an In Flight Survey program on behalf of the U.S. Government. There are two types of surveys administered - one focused on Non-US resident travelers to the United States, and the other on US travelers outbound from the United States. CIC Research has exceptional experience in conducting surveys of this type and magnitude. Additionally, the firm is currently performing work that requires successful completion. The on-going work is critical to the Agency in providing the necessary data to the travel and tourism industry. In addition, CIC research has the management experience in survey administration, data processing requirement, exception handling, publication, ad-hoc reporting, and contract administration. The firm has extensive in-depth knowledge of the travel and tourism industry sector. CIC Research has administered this international travel project since 1985, and has adapted the program to adjust to changes in the industry, and the needs of the Government. It is imperative that the U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA on behalf of the U.S. Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration, Trade Development, Office of Travel and Tourism Industries contracts with CIC Research, on a sole source basis, in order that the ongoing work can be completed successfully.
