- Description
- The US Army Contracting Agency at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ is conducting a market survey of industry to identify sources that are able to meet specific criteria for the acquisition of a Stress-Strain Microprobe. The purpose of the stress-strain microprobe is to perform non-destructive materials characterization in failure analyses and materials sorting. The machine must be mobile, able to perform in-situ testing of mechanical properties, non-destructive determination of yield strength, and fracture toughness via automated ball indentation. This survey is not a procurement action but simply an inquiry for interest from capable, responsible sources. Responses are to be provided in writing via email to blandini@pica.army.mil or tjensen@pica.army.mil and received by 19Dec03. Brochures may be mailed to Barbara Landini, Bus/Mfgr Specialist, or Timothy Jensen, Contracting Officer, US Army TACOM ARDEC, AMSTA-AQ-APE, B.10, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000. This market survey is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be contrued as a commitment by the Government.
