SITE SURVEY FOR PROPOSED ARMORING COMPANIES Past Performance: (Review list of past customers, Government and Non-Government) Security Clearance: (Does vendor have a facility security clearance, Secret required) Facilities: (Review facilities to ensure vendor has adequate space, 5,000 sq. ft. min. and equipment to build AVs) Suppliers: (Review list of vendors that provide products to build AVs) Personnel: (Review qualifications of key personnel) Engineer ? Engineer with automotive or a mechanical related field with Bachelors degree Welders ? AWS certified with two years experience Painters ? Automotive painter with two years experience Trimmers ? Automotive Trimmers with two years experience Mechanic ? ASE certified with minimum two years experience Quality Control: (Does vendor have a QA/QC manager with a degree in mechanical or quality engineering with one year experience or five years experience as a quality inspector and a working knowledge in the field of armor vehicle fabrication.)
