Description
FIA Sources Sought This is a Sources Sought synopsis. The NAICS code for this project is 115310. The USDA Forest Service, Region 6 is seeking to identify potential HUBZONE-Certified small businesses that would be interested in competing in a Firm Fixed-Price Indefinite Quantities two-year contract (2004-2005) for FIA (Field Inventory and Analysis) annual inventory of Washington, Oregon, and California. Multiple Awards are anticipated. The general scope of work includes FIA plot installations,and Plot Photos. Key Personnel shall have two years of education in a Forestry, Plant Ecology, or Botany degree program and one season fieldwork experience in the Western United States (Washington, Oregon, Idaho, California, Montana, Utah, Nevada). Crew members shall have one field season experience on a Region 6 Current Vegetation Survey or Region 6 Inventory and Monitoring System project of Forest Inventory and Analysis annual inventory. The estimated minimums and maximums are over a two-year period, and work will be competed as follows: 0001. Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest - a minimum of 50 and a maximum of 175 plots. 0002. Olympic & Gifford Pinchot National Forests - a minimum of 75 and a maximum of 210 plots. 0003. Mt.Hood National Forest - a minimum of 35 and a maximum of 120 plots. 0004. Siuslaw National Forest - a minimum of 25 and a maximum of 85 plots. 0005. Willamette National Forest - a minimum of 50 and a maximum of 175plots. 0006. Siskiyou National Forest - a minimum of 75 and a maximum of 275 plots. 0007. Rogue River and Umpqua National Forests - a minimum of 100 and a maximum of 275 plots. 0008. Deschutes, Ochoco National Forests - a minimum of 100 and a maximum of 255 plots. 0009. Fremont, Winema National Forests - a minimum of 100 and a maximum of 255 plots. 0010. Umatilla, Malheur, Wallowa-Whitman National Forests ? a minimum of 100, and a maximum of 550 plots. 0011. Okanogan National Forest ? a minimum of 50, and a maximum of 160 plots. 0012. Colville National Forest ? a minimum of 50, and a maximum of 140 plots 0013. Wenatchee National Forest ? a minimum of 60, and a maximum of 180 plots. Certified HUBZONE contractors can show interest by identifying specific items (see above) of interest, and by including a BRIEF experience and capability statement including a return email address, mailing address, telephone number and facsimile number in the body of the response.
