- This requirement is for the procurement of 14,730 each Convergent Nozzle Segment Assemblies, NSN 2840-01-455-9142NZ, P/N 4083130 applicable to the F100 engine. This item is approximately 21 inches long X 6 inches wide X 2 inches thick. The predominant material of manufacture is Titanium Alloy. Form, fit and function: The convergent segments, together with the balance segments and seals, form the nozzle throat area. This nozzle assembly is variable, allowing the size of the exhaust to change depending on engine thrust requirements. There is a possibility that the government may place an order against an existing Basic Ordering Agreement. The governments required delivery schedule is 900 each per month beginning Aug 04. Items will be delivered to FB2039, Tinker AFB. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR 52.209-1. The government is not required to delay contract award to review pending Source Approval Requests (SARs). Therefore, offerors are encouraged to submit SARs as soon as possible. If the government has not completed review of a SAR when the contract is awarded, the SAR will be retained and the source will be reviewed for possible source approval for future awards. The currently approved source(s) are Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford, CT and Dynamic Gunver Technologies in Manchester CT. No telephone requests will be accepted. The contracting office will accept requests for solicitations via fax number (405) 734-8776. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. This solicitation will be made available to interested parties through electronic data interchange. This solicitation will be posted via the Federal Business Opportunities website http://epsa.satx.disa.mil. Notes 23 and 26 apply.
