- Description
- The National Institute on Aging, National Institutes of Health, intends to negotiate a six-year contract with Tuscany Regional Health Authority to conduct a 6-year and 9-year follow-up examination of the InChianti Study cohort after its baseline assessment. The six-year follow-up assessment shall be performed on all surviving members of the InChianti cohort. This follow-up will repeat the interview and examination components of the baseline assessment and first follow-up assessments that are relevant to the goals of the follow-up. Participants shall be scheduled for their follow-up evaluation as close to the 6-year and 9-year anniversaries of their baseline assessment as possible. This follow-up evaluation will provide data on change in medical and functional status so that prospective analyses can be performed to evaluate the predictive power of variables measured at baseline. Statutory authority: 41 U.S.C. 253 ( c ) (1), as set forth in FAR 6.302-1. The cited authority is applicable because of the uniqueness of the colony. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS.
