- NA This procurement consists of one solicitation with the intent to award up to three design build multiple award task order (MATOC) contracts. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 236220 and the Standard Indus trial Code (SIC) is 1542. The Small Business size standard is $28,500,000 Million. This solicitation is set aside for HUBZone competitive. Bids will be accepted from all interested responsible and responsive parties. Solicitation W912DQ-04-R-0002 will b e available on or about 09 January 2004. Proposals will be due on or about 10 February 2004. Offerors will be required to submit a technical proposal with a separate price proposal. Contracts will be awarded to those firms providing the best value to th e Government. The contracting officer may award based on initial offers received, without discussions of such offers. The award may be made to the superior offers which are not the lowest offered price, but which is sufficiently more technically advantag eous than the lowest offer so as to justify the payment of a higher price. After award of the contracts, the government will compete the work among the contractors based on performance and other factors set forth in the contract. Each awardee will be pro vided a fair opportunity to be considered for subsequent task orders. Task orders under these contracts will be issued as Firm Fixed Price. The contract period will not exceed three years or $20,000,000. The task order limits for each contract will be s et at a maximum of $5,000,000 per task order. The work will include construction, renovation, repairs, preventive maintenance, and environmental abatement. The projects will be primarily for the Kansas City District within the four-state area of Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and Iowa. Projects could also be done anywhere within the Northwestern Division boundaries including installations under the jurisdiction or that becomes under the jurisdiction of the Kansas City District during the life of these contr acts. The contracts awarded under this solicitation are intended to provide a timely response to construction of real property (i.e., maintenance, repair, asbestos and lead-base paint abatement, removal of materials containing PCB??????s, and construction situations relating, but not limited to, civil, mechanical, plumbing, structural, electrical, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), instrumentation, security and safety areas of Government facilities as well as new facilities) in a cost effect ive manner. The Government will provide requirements for each task order which may include one or more of the following: performance based specifications, conceptual drawings and specifications or definitive designs with prescriptive specifications. The contractors may be required to participate in the development of the final scopes of work for individual task orders and may be required to provide incidental architectural or engineering services such as detailed shop drawings for construction specialtie s, work plans and other submittals in support of the construction, operation or maintenance of a facility or system. All responsible sources may submit an offer. THIS SOLICITATION IS SET ASIDE HUBZONE COMPETITIVE. The solicitation will be issued on CD-ROM only. Hard copies will not be available.
