Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for the acquisition of and the repair and/or unit exchange of 117 various Enhanced Terminal Voice Switch (ETVS) Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) which are part of the National Airspace System (NAS) communications infrastructure. The ETVS LRUs adhere to a FAA controlled equipment baseline. The technical documentation, processes and procedures necessary to purchase or manufacture, or repair and restore the equipment to the FAA controlled functional baseline is proprietary to the original equipment manufacturer, Northrop Grumman Corporation, Denro Systems (formerly Denro, Inc.). The list of National Stock Numbers (NSNs) and Part Numbers applicable to the 117 line items will be provided to all interested parties upon request. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 811213. An Indefinite Delivery/Requirements type contract for a one-year period with option provisions to renew for four (4) additional one-year periods is contemplated. The FAA does not have specifications, drawings, or the processes and procedures necessary to independently purchase, manufacture, or repair the equipment. The contractor must have access to the ETVS original equipment manufacturer???s (OEM) specifications, drawings and purchasing/manufacturing/repair processes/procedures. Potential sources must provide documentation to the FAA showing proof for rights to use the data from the OEM. Statements that data will be obtained or that specifications, drawings and manufacturing/repair processes and procedures will be developed are not acceptable. Only those responses providing the required documentation in response to this market survey will be considered prior to further action by the FAA. Interested parties who can comply with and meet all of the requirements called out in this market survey should respond via email to: Cheryl.D.Edmondson@FAA.gov. Written documentation is to be provided no later than December 15, 2003, to the following address: Federal Aviation Administration Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center P.O. Box 25082 Oklahoma City, OK 73125 Attn: AMQ-210/Cheryl Edmondson Mark responses to this survey with Market Survey File #0453746, to arrive by December 15, 2003. Individual company responses will not be disclosed to other vendors. This announcement is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the FAA to acquire these services.
