Description

NA This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The 128th Air Refueling Wing, intends to award a sole source contract to Container Research Corp, P.O. Box 159, Hollow Hill Road, Glen Riddle, PA for the supply of two KC-135 maintenance stands (1 left and 1 right). This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Container Research is the manufacturer of the existing m aintenance stand system to which these (tail and fuselage) stands will interconnect and possess technical data that completely define the form, fit and function for the tail/fuselage stands. A written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement will be a firm-fixed price contract procured under the authority of the test program for commercial items. Statutory authority for Other Than Full and Open Competition exists at 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1. A determination not to compete this procurem ent based on a response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Firms that recognize and can furnish the required supply are encouraged to identify themselves to the Contracting Officer for consideration no later than December 16, 2003. This notice is not a request for offers. If no affirmative response(s) are received to the effect that this is available from another authorized supplier and offered at a lower cost then an award will be made to the aforementioned contractor. NAICS- 332999. FOB: Destination. Delivery and/or shipping shall be Free-On-Board Destination to Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
