- NA The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District is seeking to identify potential small business sources for a Fixed Price contract for project design and related services. THIS IS NOT A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE. THE PURPOSE OF THIS SOURCES SOUGHT IS T O DETERMINE THE SET-ASIDE STATUS OF AN UPCOMING SOLICITATION. This contract work requires project design of a large complex digital range facility to include support structures, targetry installations including moving armor and roads for tactical vehicle u se and access to targets and other structures. Support services may include geotechnical investigations, wetlands delineation and preparation of Section 404 Permit application. Key design team personnel (Project Manager, Civil Engineers, Electrical Engin eers and Architects) are required to have prior experience in preparation of construction plans, specifications and cost estimates for a similar large digital range facility. Similar facilities include Digital Multipurpose Range Complex, Digital Multipurp ose Battle Area Course, Digital Multipurpose Training Range, Infantry Platoon Battle Course, Infantry Squad Battle Course and Attack Helicopter Gunnery Range. Prior design experience on other range types such as small arms ranges, Urban assault courses, M OUTs, Qualification Training Ranges, etc. does not apply. Project Team must also include qualified Unexploded Ordnance personnel to ensure the safety of personnel during geotechnical survey, etc. Prior experience in M-CACES cost estimating must also be de monstrated. The estimated construction cost for the project is $26,000,000. Final CAD deliverables must be in Bentley Microstation. Anticipated award date is Feb 2004 with design completion September 2005. If awarded to a small business firm, the prime will be required to perform at least 50% of the cost of contract performance.Please respond in writing to this sources sought announcement to Linda D.
