- Description
- This IS a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI). This IS NOT a SOLICITATION. The Social Security Administration (SSA) is conducting market research to determine if there are capable organizations interested in providing on-site services to SSA disabled employees with their work-related duties. Services may include: providing travel assistance for an employee with a mobility impairment, filing and retrieving work materials that are out of reach, reading to a visually impaired employee; sign language interpretation, taking notes in meetings, etc. SSA preliminary planning estimates that SSA may require full and part-time services for approximately 200 SSA disabled employees distributed across SSA U.S. locations nationwide, as well as Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands and the American Virgin Islands. The number of SSA employees with disabilities requiring work-related assistance is subject to recurrent change based on need and fluctuating SSA staffing levels. If you feel your organization has the corporate capability and expertise for performing this type of service either on a NATIONAL or REGIONAL basis, provide the following corporate capability statement (not to exceed 5 pages) VIA EMAIL ONLY inclusive of the following information: (1) company name, address, email address, website address, point of contact and telephone number (2) corporate experience, capacity and capability of providing services on either on a national or regional (as applicable) basis and (3) evidence of experience conducting similar services to include client name, contract number, locations supported, dollar value, description of services provided and points of contact. This RFI does not constitute a request for proposals and submission of any information based on this request for information is purely voluntary. RESPONSES ARE REQUESTED NO LATER THAN DECEMBER 24, 2004. THIS IS A RFI ONLY to be used in SSA?s assessment of capable sources. No award will be made as a result of this synopsis. Respondents will not be notified of evaluation results made from the information submitted. If a solicitation is posted, it will be preceded by a presolicitation announcement that will specify an anticipated solicitation issuance date. Any questions should be submitted via EMAIL ONLY (no phone calls please) to the Contracting Officer at bridget.hamel@ssa.gov.
