- Description
- The Food and Drug Administration intends to award a Purchase Order on a sole source basis to Lab Products, Inc of Seaford, Delaware. Lab Product is the only known manufacturer that makes a formed beam stainless steel dog kennel. The unit is sturdy and will not separate at the joint eliminating potential injury to the animals. In addition, this system will support raised floors, integrates stationary and removable panels, which can be reversed to open bar dividers for visibility, and permits the opening of adjacent kennels through the use the slide panel doors. This 18 square foot mobile kennel system can be modified to expand the cage area per animal and conforms to the Animal Welfare Regulations for environmental enrichment by allowing an animal sight of the animals next to them. Kennels are mobile so they can be moved to the cage wash area for cleaning and have minimized areas that are difficult to reach and sanitize. An award will be made ten (10) days from date of this notice. This is not a request for quotes: however, sources may submit descriptive literature that fully demonstrates their capabilities, which will be considered by the agency. This sole source procurement is being awarded as a simplified acquisition in accordance with FAR Subpart 13.5.
