- Description
- The United States Army Special Operations Command, Fort Bragg North Carolina has a requirement for the purchase and installation of individual equipment cages at its Interim Facility at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. This modification constitutes questions asked by interested vendors to which answers are now provided. A drawing will be posted as well to show the type of mesh wiring required. The drawing is not how the cage should be configured. Prior measurements and description is what is needed. See the following questions and answers. QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS 1.Q. Could you provide a layout of the requested Equipment Cages? It is important to know if they will be side to side or back to back or up against a wall. We use shared sides and backs where possible to save you money. A. These cages need to be individually freestanding. They should have a back side. 2. Q. Also, are the doors hinge or slide type doors? A. The doors are hinged. 3. Q. Are there any sample drawings or pictures available? A. Drawing will be uploaded to this site. 4. Q Please describe the location of ea shelf. Assuming the door is the front of the cage, are they positioned on the left, right, or back side of the cage? A. Shelves should be made so that they can be moved and adjusted inside the cage. Shelving hangers should be used to make this happen. 5. Q. Will the cage have a floor of wire mesh or is this area open? A. No flooring required. 6. Q. Will the cages be interconnected or free standing? A. Freestanding. 7. Q. Will the ceiling of the cage be open or closed? A. Ceiling should be closed. 8. Q. Will cages require a back panel or will they be fixed against a wall? A. Back panel required. 9. Q. Would it be acceptable to ship these panelized (knocked-down) and then assembled on-site? (This would reduce shipping charges). A.As long as you can assemble them. 10. Q.What is the diamond size of wire mesh? ie 1/2", 3/4", 1" Wire grating / mesh is preferred. ?? A. Please see example of the drawing.
