Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Medical Center, Devens(FMC, DEVENS), intends to award a sole source purchase order to Beckman-Coulter, Miami, Florida, to provide a one year supply of reagent supplies for our ACL 100 Coagulation Analyzer. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302 - only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satify agency requirements. The NAICS Code is 339111. The LABORATORY SUPPLY items to be awarded are as follows: PT-FIB Recombinant Reagent, APTT-SP Reagent, Calibration Plasma, Normal Control, Abnormal High Control. To the best of our knowledge, these products can only be purchased from Beckman-Coulter. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations, as no solicitation document is available. However, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written or faxed notification to the Contracting Officer within five (5) calendar days from the date of this published synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. The products must be manufactured and legally sold by Beckman-Coulter. Information can be sent to the Contracting Officer, FMC, Devens, Attn: Jennifer Brouillard, P.O. Box 880, Ayer, Massachusetts, 01432. Information may also be faxed to 978/796-1131. Responses received will be evaluated, however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based on responses to this notice is soley within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, FMC, Devens will proceed with the sole-source negotiated with Beckman-Coulter.
