- Description
- SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS UNITED STATES COAST GUARD ACADEMY PUBLIC WORKS OR FACILITIES MAINTENANCE. The United States Coast Guard (USCG) Academy, New London, Connecticut is conducting a standard competition, in accordance with OMB Circular A-76 (Revised May 29, 2003) for public works or facilities maintenance services, which contains approximately 110 acres, of which about 90 acres are landscaped. The Academy has 27 buildings and major structures including piers and waterfront structures totaling approximately 1,324,000 square feet. The facilities are required for the academic, military, social and athletic programs to support the Corps of Cadets and the Leadership Development Center. Approximately 71 Full Time Equivalent positions are affected by this competition. The USCG anticipates awarding a service contract with a base period of one year and four one-year option periods. The USCG Competitive Sourcing Official is Mr. Robert Horowitz; the Contracting Officer is Ms. Jeanie Thorne; the Agency Tender Official is CDR Joseph Phillips. The projected end date of the competition is September 10, 2004. A draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) and response to PWS comments are available at the Coast Guard website http:www.uscg.mil/mlclant/fdiv/fdiv.html All interested firms who have not responded to referenced announcement, but would like to submit a response, should indicate whether they are large business, small business, veteran-owned small business, small disadvantaged business, women-owned small business, or HUBZone. Based on responses to this announcement, the Government reserves the right to consider the acquisition for 100% set-aside. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 561210, size standard $30M. Firms capable of providing services, please submit a Statement of Capabilities by 4:00 p.m. EST, on 30 December 2003 to the following address: Commander (fcp-1), Maintenance and Logistics Command Atlantic, 300 East Main Street, Suite 965, Norfolk, VA 23510-9113. Interested business firms are requested to submit literature, brochures, and capability summaries identifying, at a minimum, business size, financial capability and past and/or current performance on similar contracts within the last five years together with contract numbers and applicable points of contact and current telephone numbers. Also include a description of the plan to provide support and perform all of the functions required (i.e. via team or subcontract participation of specialized contractors, and any recommendations or information particular to performing this work that will assist in documenting market research information).
