The project is a real estate transaction to privatize military family housing at Tinker AFB, and it provides a unique opportunity for top quality firms to assist in the development, operation and financing of this family housing privatization effort. Specifically, the Air Force is seeking qualified entities to own, renovate, operate, and maintain a total of 858 Family Housing Units on Tinker AFB for the benefit of Air Force families for at least 50 years. The project will include construction of 128 new units, replacement of 346 existing units, and renovation or replacement of 384 units. The Air Force's goal is to provide military families access to safe, quality, affordable, well-maintained housing in a community where they will choose to live. An Industry Forum will be conducted on January 14-15, 2004 at the Cox Convention Center (adjacent to the Renaissance Hotel), Oklahoma City, OK. The purpose of the forum is to provide pertinent information on the project. A corresponding statement of need is expected to be released in January 2004.
