Description
REQUIREMENT - The San Francisco Mint requires a Task Order Contract for Architect & Engineering (A&E) Contractors. The Architect and Engineering services will be inclusive of the following types of services: Type A services consist of Program Planning, Physical Planning, Time Planning, and Financial Planning. Type B services consist of Concepts Document Service, Tentative Documents Service, Construction Documents Service, and Post-Construction Contract Award Service. Type C services consist of Project Inspection Services and Geotechnical Services. These services shall be applied to, but are not limited to, the installation of production equipment, safety and environmental requirements and office renovations at the SF Mint facility located at 155 Hermann Street, San Francisco, CA 94102. The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity multiple awards contract for a base year with two (2) additional ordering periods. - VENDOR PRE-QUALIFICATION - All interested vendors need to submit a Capabilities statement for Pre-qualification. The statement shall include various technical in-house capabilities related to the various types of tasks indicated in Type A through Type C services shown above, specifically mechanical, electrical and design. The vendor shall also provide a listing of previous or current jobs where similar services as the above were provided. The capabilities statement shall be sent to the San Francisco Mint, Purchasing Branch, 155 Hermann Street, San Francisco, CA 94102, Attn: Ann Bell or fax to 415-575-7652. Only when the vendor is pre-qualified by the Mint, will that vendor receive a copy of the Solicitation and be invited to a Pre-proposal conference. CAPABILITIES STATEMENT DUE DATE ? The due date for receipt of the Capabilities statement is January 5, 2004. SECURITY CLEARANCES ? All Contractors and Contractors representatives require a security clearance prior to entering the SF Mint facility. All Contractor employees must be U.S. citizens or have lawful permanent resident alien status. Proof of citizenship is required for those citizens born outside of the U.S., to include a Permanent Resident Status Card, Certificate of Naturalization, or a Certificate of Birth Abroad. For security clearances, the Contractors will be provided a SF Mint clearance form to complete and return. NOTE ? In accordance with 31 U.S.C. 5136, no provisions of law governing procurement or public contracts are applicable to the procurement of goods or services necessary for carrying out Mint programs and operations
