Description
SOLICITATION NO. N68335-03-R-0095 AND ALL AMENDMENTS WILL NOT BE MAILED TO CONTRACTORS. The solicitation will appear on the NAVAIR homepage located at: http://www.navair.navy.mil/doing_business/open _solicitations/ on or about 7 July 2003. Click on the appropriate solicitation number then click on attachments if applicable. This procurement is for an Accumulator Cylinder Assembly, Drawing No. 54-50869-1, for a quantity of 4 each. The Accumulator Cylinder Assembly is a critical sub-component used in the overhaul of the Mark 7 Mod O Arresting Gear Engine. The Arresting engines are part of the Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment installed on the aircraft carrier. The accumulator is the receiving chamber for the engine cylinder fluid displaced by the engine ram during an arrestment. The air expansion flasks contain the pressurized air charge maintained against the piston on the air side of the accumulator. The accumulator and the air expansion tanks are mounted in saddles located on the engine structure. Hydrostatic Testing, Brinnell Testing, and Magnetic Particle Inspection are required. Material certifications are also required. Inspection and Acceptance will be at source. The Delivery is FOB Destination to Lakehurst, NJ 200 days after date of contract, with best commercial packaging and packing. This procurement contains Technical Data subject to the Export Control Laws, see note 8. The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract to the offeror whose proposal offers the best value to the Government, considering the factors of Past Performance and Price.
