Description
This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought notice. The U. S. Coast Guard (USCG) is seeking sources that are capable of providing a Commercial-Off-The-Shelf Shipboard Grade Uninterruptible Power Supply The Coast Guard (CG) requires a shipboard grade Uninterruptible Power Supply for the Shipboard Command and Control System (SCCS) being installed on WPBs, WMECs and WHECs. Currently the Coast Guard uses the Nova/Clary, Part Number: UPS1-1.25K-1G-SRN (NSN#: 6130-01-396-7328). These units are no longer manufactured and current stock does not meet anticipated demand. The units will be installed by Coast Guard Technicians. Specific Requirements: ? The unit shall be Rack Mountable for a Standard 19? wide Rack and no larger than 3 Rack Units in Height (5.25?), the unit shall be no larger than 18? deep. ? The unit shall have hardwire input power connection for shipboard installation. System must be capable of handling Shipboard 120 V, 60 Hz Input power with an acceptable nominal range of +15%, -20%. ? The unit must be power factor Corrected in accordance with MIL Std 1399 section 300. ? Max weight for the completed unit with batteries installed shall be no more than 65 lbs. ? The unit shall be a 1,250 VA UPS capable of supplying Shipboard 120 V, 60 Hz power within an acceptable nominal range of +- 3%. The output power shall be completely regenerated power, such that the supporting equipment does not run on a hybrid or standby power supply. ? The unit shall be switchable between regenerative and direct AC power ? The system shall be able to hold a full load (100%) for 12 minutes, and half load (50%) for 25 minutes. ? System shall have the following audible alarms: Utility Interrupt, Inverter failure Overload, Low Battery. ? The system shall be capable of a ?Cold Start? function. If the batteries are not charged the system will run in direct AC mode until they are charged enough to hold the load. ? The unit shall have the following front panel controls: o Power On Switch o Alarm Silence o Battery Test o AC output On/Off Switch. ? The unit shall have the following Visual Indicators: o Battery Level o Load Level o AC Input Available Light o Inverter On o Bypass On o On Battery Status Light o Fault Light o Cold Start AC Output light o Replace Battery ? The unit shall have slide mounts. ? The unit shall have the internal capability of having a fully isolated input. Minimum of one-year manufacturer?s warranty. Any warranty provision shall commence upon completion of equipment installation by USCG technicians. ? All responsible sources may respond to this synopsis and shall be considered by the USCG. Telephone or written inquiries in reference to this sources sought synopsis will not be accepted. Information provided by responsible sources shall not constitute a proposal and no award will be made from this notice. The Government does not intend to pay for the information received. Any interested sources shall submit a technical capability statement, brochures or other product literature. Any interested sources must submit their data within 30 days from the date this synopsis is published to: U. S.
