Description
The U.s. Coast Guard intends to procure on a sole source basis from Service ARGOS Incorporated, Automatic Distribution Service (ADS) Electronic File Transfer (FTP) Charges for Self Locating Datum Marker Buoys (SLDMB's). This includes actual use charges invoiced quarterly. The data from electronic marker buoys are transmitted via satellite to the Service ARGOS, Inc. ground station. This also includes processing modifications in transmitting the data from the ground station to the U.S. Coast Guard Operations Systems Center in Martinsburg, West Virginia. The order also includes Service ARGOS 3 satellite locations processing. The Self-Locating Datum Buoys (SLDMB's) are produced by METOceanCen. They have a transmitter that broadcasts GPS and AROGS position and pertinent data to ARGOS satellites which is then relayed to an ARGOS land station for transmission to the U.s. Coast Guard Operations Systems Center. Service ARGOS, Inc. is the only provider of data from SLDMB buoys. The period of performance is from January 1, 2004 through December 31, 2004. Other firms that can furnish these services are invited to submit clear and convincing data substantiating their capability to furnish the entire requirement. Vendors failing to provide complete information for an accurate comparison will not be considered. Responses shall be addressed to the following: Commanding Officer, U.s. Coast Guard Operations Systems Center, ATTN: Daniel R. Klink, 408 Coast Guard Drive, Kearneysville, West Virginia 25430. Fax responses should be submitted to 304/262-5997.
