Description
NAICS Code: 541620 The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Region 4 is issuing a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for enviromental technical assistance in the area of Solid Waste Management with local/national governments, and non-governmental organizations in Central America. This assistance will be part of a Central America regional enviromental capacity-building program between U.S. EPA and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) under an existing interagency agreement. The contractor shall provide a project manager for environmental engineering services who has expertise in the field of solid and hazardous waste management in the Central American region and is proficient with implementation of the U.S. Federal Code of Regulations regarding solid and hazardous waste management. The contractor shall be tasked to develop environmental capacity building programs and providing on-site training courses in this area. In addition, the contractor shall develop training, train-the-trainer, and outreach tools to transfer capacity to the Central American region and provide technical reviews of Central American solid waste management facility project plans. This requirement is set-aside for small business under the NAICS code of 541620 which is limited to $6 million dollars in revenue for the past three years. Responsible sources should submit their request for an RFQ within 15 days from the published date of this announcement via email (no telephone requests accepted) to hoover.deborah@epa.gov. The RFQ will be faxed to interested sources during the week of January 5, 2004. The RFQ due date is planned to be January 23, 2003.
