Description

NOTE: THE DESCRIPTION BELOW AND ACCOMPANYING REVERSE AUCTION PREQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS HAVE NOT CHANGED FROM THE ORIGINAL 12/12/03 POSTING. THE ONLY CHANGE IS THE DUE DATE FOR RECEIPT OF RESPONSES (i.e. 2PM Local Time; 01/05/04). The United States Postal Service (USPS) is interested in identifying and pre-qualifying suppliers capable of providing a web-based Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) fully hosted Application Service Provider (ASP) for Reverse Auctions. With respect to the USPS requirements, only web-based COTS Reverse Auction ASP solutions that have been in use by a customer for at least Twelve (12) months prior to the issuance date of this prequalification package will be considered. To be considered for pre-qualification, suppliers must meet all the requirements identified in the accompanying pre-qualification document and submit supporting information and documentation as requested therein. Suppliers must address the criteria independently and in-depth. The USPS may reject any or all responses to this pre-qualification notice, and may waive informalities and minor irregularities in responses received. NO SOLICITATION EXISTS. This synopsis is published in order to identify firms in the marketplace with the demonstrated ability to perform to consistently high standards of quality and reliability. Information received in response to this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of ensuring that suitably qualified suppliers are made aware of pre-qualification opportunities. Telephone inquiries will not be honored.
