Description

Archaeological investigation, data collection, evaluation, damage assessment, report preparation and related work for archaeological sites in the North Umpqua River and South Umpqua River drainages. This solicitation replaces R6-15-03-49 which was synopsized, but no solicitation was issued under that number. The majority of work includes sites impacted by wildfire. Work includes completion of site investigations, test excavations, establishing impact boundaries, damage assessment detailing and reporting, analysis of site eligibility, data recovery plan preparation, mitigation analysis, preparation for curation and related archaeological services. Miscellaneous archaeological services may be added as other investigation needs develop. Sites include lithic scatters and rockshelters. Passport In Time activities are included. Project duration includes calendar years 2004 and 2005. This is proposed to be a single award indefinite quantity type contract. The number of sites and volume of test excavations is estimated only. The minimum is $60,000 and the maximum is $500,000; This is a Request For Proposals requiring completion of a Questionnaire including information related to staffing qualifications, geographic experience, and past performance history. Detailed technical proposals are not required. Award evaluation criteria include technical capability and past performance history in addition to price. Award may be made without discussions. NAICS 541690. Solicitation documents will be posted to FEDBIZOPS when ready.
