Description
Construction of Category III Instrument Landing Systems (ILS) and Approach Lighting Systems with Sequenced Flashing Lights (ALSF-2) for Runways 11 and 29 at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport, St. Louis, MO The work includes but is not limited to: 1. Furnish and install handholes, duct bank, and cable at locations on the drawings and described in the specifications. Control and coaxial cable shall be Government Furnished Material (GFM), while all other cable shall be Contractor Furnished Material (CFM). 2. Furnish and install high voltage switchgear (2 each), load interrupter switches, and transformers for high voltage power, at locations on the drawings. Coordinate with utility company and local FAA to cut over electrical services to new primary power cable. 3. Perform site preparation for Localizer/Distance Measuring Equipment, Inner Marker (IM), and Localizer Far Field Monitor (FFM) equipment. 4. Perform site preparation for Glide Slope (GS) and Runway Visual Range (RVR) facilities. 5. Perform site preparation for the Middle Marker (MM). 6. Perform site preparation for the ALSF-2 facility. 7. Perform site preparation work for midpoint RVR site (One site only). 8. Furnish competent surveying resources to properly layout the subject sites and provide horizontal and vertical control. 9. Install and maintain erosion control measures to protect ditches and inlets. 10. Implement and maintain a quality control plan to ensure contract compliance. Full and Open Competition Cost Estimate: $2,000,000 to $5,000,000 Note: There is a $150.00 charge for the solicitation package for this project prior to its mailing. This payment (Checks Only) needs to be made out to the Federal Aviation Administration and mailed to 901 Locust, Rm 117 ACE-55, Kansas City, MO 64106. In addition, the contractor shall provide with this check a mailing address, Point of Contact, Phone Number, and Fax Number. The solicitation is tentatively planned to be issued in late January.
