- Description
- This is a Pre-Solicitation notice for a full and open competition. The Federal Highway Administration has a requirement to conduct research to develop and deploy either innovative NDT technologies (Direct Sensing Method) for detecting corrosion damage and/or by installing corrosion sensing technologies to monitor the internal environment of the main suspension cables (Indirect Sensing Method) on selected New York City Bridges. This solicitation will only be released and available electronically at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Accordingly, NO written, telephone, facsimile or e-mail requests for the solicitation package will be accepted. However, interested parties can register at the aforementioned site to receive procurement announcements/notifications of postings by e-mail. The Government anticipates issuing a Solicitation on or about 02/09/2004 by posting it on the website www.fedbizopps.gov. Estimated proposal due date is on or about 03/09/2004, with an estimated award date of 06/01/2004. Since this solicitation will only be available electronically, it will be the responsibility of interested parties to monitor the FedBizOpps.gov website for any solicitation amendments. The FHWA anticipates making one award as a result of this solicitation. The FHWA anticipates that the resulting contract will be a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract. The estimated period of performance is forty-eight months. The NAICS code for this solicitation is 541690. NO OTHER PROCUREMENT INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME.
