Description
An award of a sole source contract to Culture Works, Inc. is being considered as a follow-on to an existing contract for performance of a culture-based safety program, the purpose of which is to reduce aircraft mishaps, aviator deaths and injuries by altering the focus of leadership at all levels in Tenth Air Force. These Assessment Modules that will take place during the UTA drill weekends will be steeped in an organizational culture methodology and specifically not a ?traditional safety survey? approach. The process is highly interactive between the contractor and unit personnel at all levels; therefore, the contractor must thoroughly understand the correlation between culture, leadership and safety. The team training will be accomplished on Friday prior to the assessment on Saturday and Sunday. The assessment process will be a non-intrusive and have minimal impact on normal unit operations. The information gathering phase of the assessment will be informal and will be conducted to reveal the thought processes of the unit. The Training Modules will be based on the culture issues revealed in the assessment phase. The contractor will present interactive training modules based on the subjects of culture, communication, performance documentation, and counseling and team. The results using the two modules are synergistic in nature. Assessment followed immediately by accurate training creates appropriate attention on the safety issues identified in the process. The four-day assessment/training cycle assures maximum benefit for the visited unit. This contract is planned to be awarded IAW FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(A). The NAICS code is 541690.
