Description

Solicitation FA5270-04-R-0009, Project LXEZ 04-1446, Repair HVAC, Kadena Middle School, Okinawa Japan will be issued on or about 14Jan2004. The solicitation will be issued using FAR Part 15, Negotiations and Past Performance Trade-off procedures. IAW FAR 36.204, The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00 (Y125,490,000.00 and Y627,450,000.00, Exchange Rate=125.49). Only one award will be made. A firm-fixed price contract will be awarded. The project will be completed in two phases: Phase I (Between 12Jun04 to 24Aug04) includes but is not limited to the following work: Replacement of water chiller and aboveground/underground chilled water piping and related civil and electrical works; replacement of air handling unit, circulating pumps, chilled water, dual temperature and heating hot water piping including pipe insulation and supports, variable-air-volume (VAV) units, provision of new direct digit control (DDC) system including central computer with modem at RM 512, and related architectural and electrical work at building 9399 (Cafeteria); replacement of single package air conditioning units with new chilled water type double walled air handling units including chilled water piping system, provision of new DDC system and related architectural and electrical work at building 9401 (Gymnasium) and incidental related work in accordance with the specifications and drawings. Phase II (Between 12Jun05 to 24Aug05) includes but is not limited to the following work: Replacement of air handling unit, VAV units, dual temperature piping system inside the mechanical room including pipe insulation and supports, provision of new DDC system and related architectural and electrical work at building 9400 (Industrial Arts); replacement of air handling unit, VAV units,dual temperature water piping inside the mechanical room including insulations and supports, provision of DDC system and related architectural and electrical work at building 9397 (Special ED/Admin); replacement of air handling units, VAV units, dual temperature water piping inside the mechanical room including insulations and supports, provision of DDC system and related architectural and electrical work at building 9398 (Classroom) and related incidental work in accordance with the specification and drawings. NOTE: THIS PROJECT WILL BE PERFORMED IN ITS ENTIRETY IN THE COUNTRY OF JAPAN.
