Description

The Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) intends to award a sole source contract for facilitator mentoring and technical services in the area of Relability Centered Maintainence to Aladon, LLC. In April 2001, after extensive market research and a full and open competition, Aladon was awarded a contract to provide Reliability Centered Maintenance training and technical services to the DRPM-AAA program. Since that award, the RCM process introduced by Aladon has analyzed nearly 80% of the Expeditionary Fighting Vehicle using a process fully compliant with SAE standard JA-1011. OSD guidance, as stated in the Office of the Secretary of Defense guide entitled Designing and Assessing Supportability in DoD Weapon Systems, published in April 2003, strongly encourages the use of RCM in acquisition programs and suggests that the RCM process chosen should comply with SAE standard JA-1011. Only Aladon can provide the continued certified RCM support, compliant with the SAE standard, required by DRPM-AAA. Period of performance will be for one year beginning in approximately February 2004. Task orders will be issued on an Indefinite Delivery - Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) basis, in order to to meet on-going and emerging requirements.
