- Description
- Air transportation of passengers and baggage utilizing aircraft that are IFR equipped, multi-engine, and turbine powered. The purpose of the contract is to shuttle passengers between NAS Point Mugu CA and San Nicolas Island CA daily. (Mon through Friday the first week and Mon through Thur the second week. Appx 370 outbound and 370 inbound the first week and 310 outbound and 310 inbound the second week.) Additional missions between these locations may be required during the week, weekends, and holidays as well as other off-line locations within a 200 nautical mile radius of Point Mugu. Requires airlift with the capability to move 130 passengers with no more than five outbound missions from Point Mugu to San Nicolas. A minimum of 130 passengers must be moved within 2.5 hours. This requirement is for a twelve-month performance period beginning 1 October 2000 with four one-year option periods and includes a "not to exceed" six-month performance extension as authorized by FAR 52.217-8. To be awarded a contract under this solicitation, prospective offerors, if they are Part 135 Air Carriers, must satisfy all DoD Commercial Air Carrier Quality and Safety Requirements as described in 32 CFR, Part 861.3, and the DoD Additional Standards for Contract Passenger Operations under FAR Part 135.
