Description
Furnish In-Home Respite Care services as authorized by the VA Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System, Biloxi, MS. The home health agency shall insure that the care meets the needs and promotes maximum well-being of VA patients. The Scope of Care shall include the following: (1) Assistance with activities od daily living, which include bathing, dressing, toileting, and continence, (2) Aid in ambulation and/or transfers, (3) Active and passive exercises, (4) Assistance with medical equipment and routine health monitoring (non-skilled), (5) Specific household tasks to maintain a safe environment in areas of the home used by the patient, such as changing the bed,doing laundry and dishwashing, essential to the cleanliness of the patient, (6) Assist with medications, (7) Assist with grooming care of hair, including shampoo, shaving and the ordinary care of nails, (8) Prepare and serve meals according to instructions, (9) Dusting and vacuuming the rooms the patient uses, (10) Tidying bathrooms, (11) Assuring patient safety and (12) Personal care supervision. Updated copies of the contracting agency licensure, supervisory and employee licenses or credential clinical privileges shall be accessible for review by VA staff. This is an unrestricted acquisition subject to availability of funds; both large and small qualified business firms in the catchment area of the VA Gulf Coast Veterans Healh Care System are encouraged to respond. The area encompasses George, Greene, Hancock, Harrison, Jackson, and Pearl River counties in Mississippi; Baldwin, Escambia, Mobile, and Washington counties in Alabama; and Bay, Escambia, Holmes, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, Walton, and Washington counties in Florida.
