Description

The contractor shall be required to perform Construction of Facilities and Structures, and Maintenance, Repair, and Alteration of Real Property. Work shall include, but not be limited to, maintenance, repair, and rehabilitation to include environmen tal, logistical, and operational type functions. For new construction, work may include, but not be limited to civil, architectural, mechanical, interior & exterior electrical, and structural construction work. In performing maintenance, repair, rehabili tation, alteration, and/or new construction. The contractor shall be required to survey the problem, design recommendation for a solution, and remediate the problem to include providing incidental engineering services, estimate cost of work, and manage th e remediation and/or construction effort ensuring quality and safety. On occasions the design/build approach shall be utilized. Solicitation is subject to availability of funds; guaranteed minimum for each year is estimated at $300,000.00 to be divided e qually among the successful offerors. It is anticipated that the solicitation will result in multiple awards, therefore, a minimum of one award will be setaside for an 8(a) Business Concern within Region IV (KY, TN, GA, AL, NC, SC, FL, and MS) and one awa rd will be setaside for a Hubzone Business Concern. It should be noted that the Government reserves the right to setaside other awards in these two categories (8(a) and Hubzone) for particular functional areas. The remainder awards will be unrestricted an d subject to FAR 19.10, the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. All awards will be on a competitive basis and best value to the Government. The maximum estimated value over the life of the contract is $30 Million; a total of three years is contemplated (base and two options periods). NAICS are 233, 234, 235 subsectors/$28.5 Million.
