- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation SP4700-04-T-0007 is a Request For Quote (RFQ). The solicitation documented and incorporated provisions are those in effect through FAC 97-24. The Defense Technical Information Center has a requirement for Java Technology Full Passes. The contract line items are CLIN 0001 Java Technology Full Passes, Qty 3 which gives a total of 24 slots, so up to 8 people would train per full pass. Period of performance, 1 year, during which the Java passes will be spent on an ?as needed? basis to fulfill skill enhancements required in a web-based environment. The proposed list of courses follows: * SL110 ? Fundamentals of Java Programming Language, January 12-16, 2004 * SL-425 - Architecturing and Designing J2EE Applications * SL-303A - Implementing Java Security *SL-285 ? Java Programming Workshop (Multi-tier applications) *OO-226 ? Object-Oriented Analysis and Design Using UML *SL-275 ? Java Programming *FJ 310 ? Developing J2EE Compliant Applications (JSP, Servlet, EJB) The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors ? Commercial, applies to this acquisition. Provision 52.212-2, Evaluation ? Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. The following evaluation factors are applicable to this acquisition: Factor 1 - Flexibility of schedule Offerors shall provide dates classes are available. Factor 2 - Price The Government will award a contract resulting from this combined synopsis/solicitation to the responsible Offeror whose offer conforming to the synopsis/solicititation is judged to be most advantageous to the Government, with price and other factors considered. Flexibility of schedule and price are equally important. If, after evaluation of flexibility of schedule, two or more proposals are determined to be relatively equal, price will be the determining factor of award. Offerors are to include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications ? Commercial Items, with its offer. The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and conditions ? Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes Or Executive Orders ? Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. FAR clauses 52.219-8, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37, 52.232-33 and 52.222-41 and 43 apply to this acquisition. . No telephone responses will be accepted. AWARD WILL BE MADE TO THE TECHNICALLY ACCEPTABLE OFFEROR WITH THE BEST VALUE TO THE GOVERNMENT.
