Description: PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Midstory removal in active Red-Cockaded Woodpecker cluster sites ? Project will consist of controlling the midstory on 221 acres by chainsawing, grinding, etc. to remove all stems less than 8 in. dbh. Work is expected to begin approximately February 2, 2004. PROJECT LOCATION: Oconee National Forest, Jones and Jasper Counties, Georgia ESTIMATE COST RANGE: $25,000-$100,000. SOLICITATON DOCUMENTS: will be posted in Fedbizopps approximately January 7, 2004. Vendors are encouraged to register on the Interested Vendor List (IVL).
