- ISSUE DATE: 12/23/03 POSTED DATE: 12/23/03 TITLE: Intent to Negotiate A High Voltage Emergency Contract SOL: RFQ10N3-68-04 DUE: 12/29/03 NAICS: 335313 AGENCY: Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 130W. Kingsbridge Rd., 9th Floor, Room 9B-16 Bronx, NY 10468 POC: Greg Vogt DESCRIPTION: The Bronx VA Medical Center (VISN3) Business Service Center intends to negotiate a contract with one of the 3 Small Businesses listed herein. Contractor shall provide emergency repair to high voltage equipment to include all labor and materials, which includes all problems pertaining to high voltage (480) volts up to and including 13,200 volts, main high voltage cables, primary switchgear and breakers, including but not limited to sub-station and building 200. Work to be paid in accordance with hourly labor rates quoted and established in this contract, for normal (straight time Monday thru Friday 8 AM to 4:30PM), with evening, weekend and holiday periods (overtime Monday thru Friday, 4:30 PM to 11:30 PM). Labor rates quoted are to include all travel costs. Work should be performed during VA normal business hours. Contractor shall supply all manpower, supervision, tools, and equipment necessary to respond to any high voltage problems throughout the station after being notified within two (2) hours during any 24 hour period, 7 days per week, including holidays. Detailed, legible service reports shall be submitted to the foreman of the electric shop after each call. Such reports shall advise of any repairs or repair parts required that are necessary to maintain the equipment in first class operation condition, and a quotation for the cost of services and parts. All work shall be performed by competent mechanics, experienced and qualified to work on the specific equipment and all work performed shall be in accordance with good commercial practice. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations. The anticipated award date is 12/29/03. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government: Telephone or faxed inquiries will not be accepted.
