Description
CONTACT Chris Schilling, Electronics Engineer, (732) 532-3784. Sources sought to perform depot-level overhaul repairs of the AN/TRN-30(V)1 and AN/TRN-30(V)2 systems. Detailed drawings and/or schematics of their internal design are not available. W ork may need to be completed in various locations to include Southwest Asia, Contractor's plant, Tobyhanna Army Depot, and military bases such as Ft. Hood, Ft Bragg, etc. The AN/TRN-30(V)1 system is a non-directional beacon set providing a homing signal to rotary wing and fixed wing aircraft with Automatic Direction Finder (ADF) equipment. The AN/TRN-30(V)2 system is a back-packed portable non-directional beacon set designed to be used with Airborne ADF equipment for aircraft navigation. The AN/TRN-30(V)1 and AN/TRN-30(V)2 were both manufactured by Kaufman and Gould between 1969 and 1983. Neither company is still in existence. Currently, the depot-level overhaul work of both systems is being performed by Tobyhanna Army Depot, Tobyhanna, PA. Contractors c apable of providing the above-described services may contact the government via electronic mail. The response must include documentation showing that the contractor is capable of providing the required services. Responses must be received no later than 06 January 2004.
