- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Portland District, ATTN: CENWP-CT-C, P.O. Box 2946, Portland, Oregon 97208-2946, POC: Kathleen Seitz, Contract Specialist, (503) 808-4628; Ralph P. Banse-Fay, Contracting Officer, SUBJECT Historic Propert ies Management Plan. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District is developing a Historic Properties Management Plan (HPMP) for the North side of the Bonneville Lock and Dam project. The HPMP is defined in Engineering Pamphlet 1130-2-540 15 Nov 9 6. The purpose of HPMP is to provide a comprehensive program to direct the historic preservation activities and objectives at each project, and to effectively manage and protect each historic property. This scope of work is designed to complete portions o f the HPMP by consolidating all cultural resource information gathered during previous field investigations. This information shall include Traditional Cultural Properties and accustomed use areas, as determined appropriate by tribal representatives. The HPMP shall also include a discussion of all pertinent laws and regulations; comprehensive maps of fee-owned lands and site locations clearly delineated; a list of all sites which have been recorded within the fee-owned lands; the National Register of Hist oric Places status of each site; a map of surveyed and unsurveyed fee-owned lands; a complete annotated bibliography of cultural resource investigations; and a discussion of preservation needs for historic properties located within the north side of the Bo nneville Project lands. This document will be provided to the Project manager of the Bonneville Project. The Project Manager will use this document to locate sites and provide an initial appraisal for areas where construction or rehabilitation of develop ments can occur.
