Description

REFER QUESTIONS ON DISTRIBUTION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS TO THE PLANS ROOM AT (251) 690-2536 OR FAX (251) 694-4343. SPECIFIC QUESTIONS RELATED TO THIS PROJECT MAY BE ANSWERED BY MS. KAREN WILLIAMS AT FAX (251) 690-2902. The Contracting Officer f or this project is Mr. Edward Slana. Construct a two-story facility that is approximately 110,000 SF. The construction method will use pre-cast concrete panel exterior finish to match existing Building 501 architecture. The project will utilize reinforc ed concrete foundation piles, concrete floor slab, structural steel framing, built-up roofing system, with fire protection, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, assured telecommunications architecture, security systems, and utilities. The project will provid e backup electrical generation and Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS). The project includes integrating the structure with communications infrastructure to connect to the Building 501 complex, a loading dock/receiving area, landscaping, site improvements, vehicle parking and antiterrorism/force protection measures. Heating and cooling will be provided by a self-contained system. Work also includes demolition of the existing 17,500 SF Building 501A. The North American Industry Classification System (NAIC S) code for this project is 236220. Bid documents are available on or about 12 January 2004. Estimated cost of work is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000. Unrestricted. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered.
