Description

The intent of this project is the construction of an accessible trail with mortared stone curbing and/or raised trailbed of rock wall (masonry wall). Also included is the repair of the stone floor in the West View Shelter, an historic structure, and trail obliteration with removal of asphalt, metal handrails, and cement stairs. Work also includes placement of aggregate and reconstruction of stone steps. The length of Segment I is approximately 233 meters, Segment II is 198 meters, and Segment III is 115 meters. This project is located on the Waldport Ranger District, Siuslaw National Forest, Lincoln County, Oregon, near the Cape Perpetua Visitors Center. The successful Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies (except those designated as Government-furnished), and incidentals to accomplish all work necessary. The Government estimate is between $100,000 and $250,000. Technical and price proposals are due by close of business on February 17, 2004. The successful contractor shall also be required to submit performance and payment bonds (100% each) prior to start of work. Contract time is 90 calendar days. Estimated start work date is March 1, 2004. This solicitation is a Total Hubzone set-aside. The solicitation packet will be posted in FedBizOpps on or about January 15, 2004.
