- This requirement is for acquisition of Ultra High Frequency/Very High Frequency (UHF/VHF) Radios for the F-15 Eagle Fighter. Aeronautical System Center (ASC) contemplates issuing a three year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract in which future orders will be issued to support this effort. ASC will purchase UHF/VHF Radios, Engineering Support, Interim Contractor Support, Travel and Data for this effort. This acquisition falls under the Homeland Security Act of 2002 and will be conducted as a Source Selection under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 13.5 using Simplified Acquisition Procedures while following the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable Source Selection Process described in FAR subpart 15.101-2. This is a limited competition under the Homeland Security Act of 2002. This synopsis is being issued for informational purposes only. Any potential offeror other than the already qualified vendors will not be considered for this requirement. UPDATE November 24, 2003: Final Request For Proposal (RFP) released today. RFP due date is December 19, 2003. UPDATE December 15, 2003: RFP Amendment 01 issued today. RFP Due Date is changed from 19 DEC 2003 to 23 DEC 2003. Questions/Answers #2, updated RFP, updated Technical Requirements Document, ADF-ICD and ICD Red Line change pages provided. UPDATE December 18, 2003: RFP Amendment 02 issued today. Paragraph 3.1.3 of the Technical Requirements Document (TRD) has been modified, based on Boeing+s recommendation, to reflect the F-15A-D and F-15E Interface Control Documents (ICD) power requirement.
