Description
Any request must be with your company name, address, telephone and fax number, please no emails unable to access it. The U S Naval Academy has a requirement replace the following equipment for the Mechanics, Materials, and Structure Lab Groups. Clin 0001 - Corrosion Exposure System which shall include a minimum of two (2) exposure chambers to allow simultaneous testing. The system must be capable of conducting the following standardized corrosion tests or procedures in at least one (1) of the exposure chambers; ASTM B117, B368- Cass Test, B380, D2247, D1735, G85 A1, G85 A2, G85 A3, G85 A5, GM 4298, 4465, CHRYS LP-461-H-15. All chambers in the system must be capable of conducting ASTM B117, B380, D2247, AND D1735. One (1) of the chambers must be at least 4 foot by 2 foot by 3 foot inside dimensions. Additional chambers must be at least 3 foot by 2 foot by 3 foot inside dimensions. System must have temperature control to at least +/- 0.1 degrees and displays must how temperature in 0.1 degree increments. Controllers must be capable of displaying temperature in either C or F. Chambers must be corrosion resistant and capable of running tests to pH as low as 3. Each chamber of the system must be operated successfully for a minimum of one (1) full day at the factory prior to shipping and must be fully calibrated subsequent to this testing. Vendor must have field service capability and good reputation in field service. System must include condensation apparatus to condense and drain exhaust that re-circulates the cooling/condensing water. All chambers in the system must be capable of being interfaced with computers for both control and monitoring purposes. All chambers must have a wall mounted temperature and humidity recording plotter. System must be configured to allow on-line factory service for program upgrades and trouble shooting. Upon award firm specifications shall be provided by the technical point of contact. 1 Each. Clin 0002 - Installation. 1 Lot. Clin 0003 - Shipping. 1 Lot. This requirement is the result of flooding that occurred during hurricane Isabel and thereby replacing the existing equipment to operational status.
