- 17. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are not being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this acquisition is NOI4039 and is being issued as a notice of intent. The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-17. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 337214, which has a size standard of 500. This acquisition will be processed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and is not a small business concern. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases intends to procure on a sole source basis with VWR International the Metro Max Q storage shelves. The shelves are specifically designed to fit into mosquito chambers and are adjustable to fit changing needs. The shelves are autoclaveable and contain a mold inhibiting substance, which is required with the high humidity chambers. This acquisition will be awarded on an all or non-basis. There will only be one award made for this buy. Separate line item awards are not authorized. The following components may be acquired under this acquisition: Item/Description/Quantity: (1) Metro Max Q Grid Shelf 18x36, Qty ?286; (2) Metro Max Q Grid Shelf 18x42, qty-278; (3) Post Assembly, qty-308. This requirement is to be delivered to NIH/NIAID, 12735 Twinbook Parkway, Loading Dock, Rockville, Maryland 20852. Shipping and delivery of required items must be available for January 26, 2004. The government will award a fixed price purchase order to the responsible contractor. The following FAR provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation ? Commercial Items; FAR 52.212.3 Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-4 Contractor Terms and Conditions Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items. A completed copy of provisions at FAR 52.212-3 Offerors Representations and Certifications Commercial Items must be included. Copies of the aforementioned clauses are available upon request by telephone to Ms. Tonia Alexander at (301) 496-2607.
