Description

The USGS Florida Caribbean Science Center request quotes for grounds maintenance. Contractor to furnish grounds, tree maintenance, chip grinding, and leaf and debris removal services. This requirement includes mowing, trimming, edging, debris and leaf removal for specific areas during specific times of the year. Proposals submitted shall include a schedule of how the contractor proposes to accomplish the work over the entire period of the requirement. In addition, the successful contractor shall submit a monthly plan outlining the months work to be completed. USGS reserves the right to approve or disapprove the plan or required qualified personnel, equipment, tools and material to complete the work. All work will be executed in a manner that will not interfere with the normal function of USGS, including traffic movement, utility services, existing equipment and other work being done. A pre-solicitation site inspection is required before submitting a quote. USGS will only accept quotes from vendors who participate in the site visit. Site visits will be held from January 12 through Janurary 22, 2004, between the hours of 12:00 and 2:00 p.m. Please call Mr Shane Ruessler at (352)378-8181 ext 337 for an appointment. The USGS intends to award a firm fixed price annual contract with four (4) additional option years The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 561730 and the Size Standard is $5 million. These services are set-aside 100% for Small Business.
