Description

The Bureau of Reclamation, Mid-Pacific Region intends to issue an Invitation for Bid for a firm-fixed price construction contract. The contractor is required to furnish and install a pump platform with associated pumps, valves, and electrical system; and install high -density polyethylene pipe for delivering water of the proper temperature for fish habitat to delivery points along Hilton Creek. The work is situated approximately 20 miles northwest of Santa Barbara, California in Santa Barbara County. Bids will be considered based on alternate bid schedules. The principal component of the work to be performed under the specifications includes a pump system. Based on the alternate bid schedules, it may consist of a generator, spillway pipe, pipe modifications and valves, signal transmitters, and miscellaneous construction.. The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Estimated delivery date is August 31, 2004. This acquisition is solicited pursuant to "Full and Open Competition," all responsible sources are permitted to compete. Please note: FAR Clause 52.219-4 "Notice of Price Evaluation Preference for HUBZone small business concerns" applies. Interested firms which believe they can furnish the required construction are invited to submit in writing an affirmative response to this announcement. A solicitation document has not been prepared. It is Reclamation's intention to issue a presolicitation notice and post the solicitation when it is available.
